Did you know that today is World Smile Day? Also known as National Smile Day, or International Smile Day, founded by the creator of the original Happy Face. One of the easiest ways to put a smile on somebody’s face is to send them a gorgeous bouquet of flowers. I know I’m beaming after I was gifted a wonderful premium flower bouquet this week from Prestige Flowers. It seems that it’s one of their featured favourites as it’s linked to strait on their homepage, and called the Orion.

Flowers for World Smile Day

There are lots of ways to cheer someone up, and make their day just a little bit happier.   Below you’ll find a few ideas that you can do to help celebrate World Smile Day!

Send their Favourite Flowers

Flowers is of the easiest ways to give someone an instant smile. The bouquet I was sent just happened to be in my favourite colour (purple) including lavender roses by the name of Memory Lane, which is extremely fitting as I had very similar ones in my own Wedding Boquet back in 2012. It also includes some very beautiful violet and white calla lillies, and unique gradient carnations called Antigua Carnations.

Flowers for World Smile Day

Of course, flowers are not the only way that you can share the happiness of World Smile Day. Why not try a few of these other tips.

Write a Letter

These days, a hand-written note, even if just a few sentences long can do a world of wonders to cheer someone up. Instead of sending that facebook message, or email, why not jot down your feelings on a nice piece of paper and simply update someone about your day, and your feelings for them? Trust me, it will come off as so much more personal and meaningful to have something they can hold in their hand that shows just how much you care.

Share a Tipple

Sometimes, it’s just nice to catch up over a cocktail. Why not surprise your friend with a cheeky G&T gift pack, or better yet, stop by with a bottle of prescco and spend the night catching up while sipping your bubbles.

Cookies for World Smile Day

Bake With Love

If you’re the baking type (and it may surprise you to learn I am not), why not whip up a fresh batch of homemade cookies specifically to give as gifts. In fact, this may work well if you simply want to spread some happiness to lots of people, as you can share the cookies amongst everyone you see on world smile day, if you want! Take them into your workplace, or office, and you’ll sooon be seeing people a little bit happier all day long. (As always with food, be careful of food intolerances and allergies – something nut and gluten free usually does the trick for most people,  maybe check our Christmas Recipes section for ideas).

Everyone Loves Balloons

I don’t know if you’ve ever seen someone open a Balloon Box, but it’s one of the most fun, and smile-inducing things I can think of. Double bonus points for sending a SMILE Emoji Balloon.

So those are our tips for celebrating World Smile Day – or any day of the year that you want to put a smile on a loved ones face. We need more happiness in this world, and obviously it shouldn’t only be on a single day. So go out there and share the smiles!

Here’s a quick list of things that make me smile, feel free to share yours!
