How to Decorate a Table Scandi Christmas Style
I’ve been obsessing over Nordic and Scandi themed Christmas decorations and style ever since I went to IKEA a few weeks ago and they had a whole bunch of amazing decorations already available. Something about the simplistic, rustic yet simple design of Scandi Christmas style is very appealing. So, I wanted to share my ideas on how to decorate a Christmas table in the Scandi Christmas theme – here are some great products, and tips that will get you the look you’re craving (and it couldn’t be more simple).
Start with a table cloth, or runner. You’ll want to pick something that is mostly a solid colour with some stiching or geometric designs, here are a few examples from Ragged Rose.
If you don’t want something so bold, you could go with a white base, with red stitching, or even grey stitching.
One you have your base you’ll want to next think of the place settings themselves. Traditionally you’ll want to go with something simple. Ceramic White, or Slate Grey is always going to be a great option.
Next, start to think of the decorations, but remember to keep it simple. White Candles or simple greenery always look great.
If you choose a table runner or placemats you should think about adding stitched pattern napkins or small decorations for each place setting.
If you can’t decorate your whole table in Scandi style, you could a least pop a few pieces around your house. Here are a few more suggestions for some wonderful Christmas Home Decor.
