Christmas Party at the Office
Christmas can be a fantastic occasion to bring together office
colleagues. It is a normally accepted fact that Christmas
is celebrated in offices at least one week in advance. For,
Christmas means great vacation time. Therefore, plan the party
to ensure that every colleague revels on the occasion.
Choose a big hall or a convention center within the office
premises to accommodate all members of the staff. Make sure
that there is sufficient space for everyone to move around
in the hall. Do not clutter the hall with unnecessary arrangements
of furniture. Keep options open to play games and organize
entertainment programs.

The colleagues should fix the office Christmas party
timing after consulting each other. It is a normal practice
to celebrate Christmas on the last day of the office
before the vacation commences. Under such circumstances,
office Christmas party is organized on Fridays, sometime
in the afternoon. However, if office rules permit, Christmas
party can commence before noon itself. This flexibility
of timing has to be decided by the office management
in consultation with the rest of the staff. If there
is no consensus, then it is better to organize the office
Christmas party after obtaining the due permission of

Make sure that there is a proper Christmas tree. Fetch
a tree of moderate size and place it in the middle of the
convention hall. The size of the tree should be in proportion
with the size of the convention hall. Make sure it matches
the space. Do not bring either a large Christmas tree or
a small Christmas tree. It should be of optimum size. Engage
the entire office staff in decorating the tree. Give chance
to people, who love to decorate the tree. Anything can go
into make the tree an attractive piece. It could be colorful
ribbon, lace and colored bulbs and so on. Other attractive
hangings from the office can also make it to the tree. But
make sure that the tree is not overloaded with attractive
items.
Organize a Christmas feast by choosing a menu, which is
liked by the entire office staff. It is better to opt for
a common menu instead of ordering a whole range of delicacies.
Organize games to regale the staff. It need not be intellectual
games. The games should entertain the staff. Present a gift
to winner of the games. It could be some small gifts.
