It was just yesterday West Belfast resident Paul McGeown made headlines when he put up a festive white Christmas Tree his yard – 68 days before Christmas! He put up the tree as a symbol of peace, to stop quarreling neighbours, and he says it’s worked.
Apparently he’s not the only one to want to skip Halloween altogether and get on with the Main Event – Belfast Telegraph reports: “For several weeks Christmas trees have been popping up in a variety of places across the country including Larne, Carrowdore, Carryduff and Moneymore.”
Although, we all know that early decorators are definitely in the minority – and maybe October is just a bit too early to put up a tree. What do you think?
