    Thank you Bob - I am told it is worth quite a bit of money but it will stay in the family. I just love it and even tho I have remarried it brings back so many pleasant memories of Christmases with my late husband I really need to scan in the picture of the year that our cat managed to find her place in the scene and didn't knock any of the wisemen down - it was so precious - a true Kodak moment ....

    Yes, it's carved from wood and if I ever give it away, our youngest daughter wants it. That's the one she remembers from her childhood. It was made in Taiwan but looks a lot like the German one at this link:
