In answer to your question, it's free to use. You just have to sign up, and enter some things about you, like your favorite book and movie. You can then send Merry Christmas messages and those who receive it get an email stating 'Someone you know wishes you a Merry Christmas, click to find out who this is'.

They can then try guessing your identity, or ask for clues (that's why you need to enter a few details about you). The best bit is you get to see who they thought the message came from if they don't guess your name straight away.
