The holly's up, the house is all bright, The tree is ready, the candles alight; Rejoice and be glad, all children tonight.
I used to decorate for autumn and have a little get-together on Columbus Day. I don't think I'll do that anymore. I'm becoming lazy. But my house sure looked festive with all the ceramic pumpkins and other touches.

Easter is fun, we decorate an Easter Tree and have quite a few decorations about the house. Thanksgiving would be my 2nd fav holiday followed by Halloween, Easter comes in 4th

Halloween has become such a hugh celebration here in the USA. When I was a kid (I'm 53 now), nobody decorated for Halloween and only children wore costumes. Now it is great fun for everyone. So, after Christmas I would say Halloween is my 2nd favorite holiday, closely followed by Thanksgiving (just love the feast, family, and spirit of the day), and then Easter.
We celebrate a kind of Halloween in Greece in February (Apokries) that has some similarities to the American one as far as costumes go and parties and parades-carnival. It's at the same time as the parade that's held in Rio De Janeiro, Brasil. That is not my second favorite Holiday though. Easter is. Everybody would enjoy Easter in Greece, it is a very big deal. You have to be here to understand. It has to do a lot with spirituality, faith and symbolism (not too many dacorations)and at Easter Sunday lots of excellent food. Yeah, after Christmas Easter is my second favorite Holiday. God bless![]()
