Just for fun I typed in "Deadliest Travel Day of the year" on Google and these were the first 3 websites:

"July Fourth Traffic and the Deadliest Travel Day on the Highway"

"Thanksgiving is Deadliest Travel Day : Insurance Resources"

"Christmas Day is Deadliest of the Year, Says 26-Year Study"

Of course everyone should be careful, any time there are a number of people on the road and alcohol is consumed its a dangerous time.
"I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round, as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys." ~Charles Dickens

We are getting hit by a big snowfall right now. Travel in this area is hazardous right now.
