    Thanksgiving Traffic Accidents

Thanksgiving is the deadliest holiday for traffic accidents.

"Whether from postprandial exhaustion or a little too much wine with dinner, AAA's biggest travel holiday of the year saw 623 traffic fatalities in 2006, the most recent year on record."
    travel.yahoo.com

"Postprandial dip can produce irresistible drowsiness in some individuals, leading to a postprandial nap."
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postprandial_dip

I hope everyone is extra careful about driving after dinner this Thanksgiving. Have a safe and happy holiday!

This period seems to be dangerous on the roads all over the world. Here in France, we have holidays for All Saints Day, and it is also the deadliest holiday for traffic accidents.
    Anyway, take care...
and happy thanksgiving to all of you who are celebrating it !

My family don't drink but dad tends to take a nap after eating thanksgiving dinner before he travels the roads again. But we will be careful! Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope you have a delicious meal together with your families. I am going to moms for the day so we will be away that day!
Wishing you many hot cocoa mornings and firesky nights throughout the new year!

Here's wishing a safe and happy Thanksgiving 2010! And to an even safer holiday shopping season starting the day after (which is also a deadly day as shoppers go mad for deals and trample anything in their path).

Oh Yeah, HolidaySingleGirl, that Walmart incident was tragic. Walmart actually has a few great Black Friday sales I am interested in, but I will go there later in the day and risk not getting the items in favor of personal safety! Believe it or not, they are already advertising their Black Friday sales on their website! Two months ahead of time!!!

Hopefully there will be some good deals online this year to avoid having to join the holiday mob.
