    The Christmas blues...

    Christmas can be a melancholy time, and we all suffer from the blues at some time or other, but this weekend I had them really bad for some reason.

    I was in a local 99p store getting some last minute decorations and things. the store was playing Christmas music. Firstly '10,000 miles' by the Pretenders; then 'Silver Bells' by Elvis. Suddenly, I felt very depressed; even though those songs didn't hold any particular associations for me. I wonder why that was? I'm feeling better now.

    What gives you the Christmas blues? And how do you get over them?
    So let the raucous sleigh bells jingle,
    Hail our dear old friend kris kringle,
    Driving his reindeer across the sky.
    Don't stand underneath when they fly by.

    don't know why either, usually don't have this feeling around Christmas, but the next day after Christmas I feel sad.
    When it seems the magic slipped away...
    We find it all again on Christmas Day

    I hate for Christmas to be over. I hate putting all the decorations away. I hate the early darkness and no colorful lights outdoors. The only thing that bothers me at Christmas is not knowing if everyone loves Christmas and is satisfied with what I've given or done for them. I just want everyone to LOVE each other!

    "God made
    Christmas happen;
    friends make
    Christmas beautiful,
    music makes
    Christmas festive;
    giving makes
    Christmas joyous,
    love makes
