Christmas and the lead up to it ........ will be very different this year ... a first for me !!!
Older son and wife leaving first week of December for 5 weeks to spend Christmas with her family in Sweden.
Younger son didn't know of his brother's plans when his girlfriend roped him in to housesit with her for 6 weeks for a couple who are holidaying in Europe from the end of November.
So I'll pretty much be on my own .... with all other family on the other side of the world.... it'll be very strange and a first in 32 years !!

Oh Christmas Fairy. I know the feeling, although it's not quite the same. I have had a big Christmas Eve get-together for family every year for the past 30 years. This year my sister-in-law is having a big going away party for my nephew (he is being deployed to Afghanistan) on December 22nd with a snow date of Dec 23rd - so that will be the day the family gets together. It will just be my husband and two daughters (unless they each end up with their boyfriends families) on the Eve. Sad that things have to change, but it's inevitable as you get older!
