Well, we're supposed to get a super storm next week- they're calling it 'Frankenstorm'. A mix between hurricane Sandy, a winter storm coming in from the west and a blast of arctic air from the north. They're saying it should be alot worse than the one we had last year at this time that left us without power for days on end.

Ornamentmaven, are you supposed to get hit by this one?

Oh yes! That's all everyone is talking about. Most of the models have Hurricane Sandy making land in northern New Jersey, or NYC. Well I am only 3 miles north of northern NJ and 20 miles north of NYC, so I guess we're in for it. Last August, Hurricane Irene left my town with major damages - 3 bridges washed out, houses and businesses flooded everywhere and no power for 3+ days. Then the Halloween 2011 snow storm left us without power for 4+ days. It looks like two years in a row without a real Halloween. Snow Angel and Fezziwig - hope you are both safe and well prepared~

A State of Emergency has already been declared here in New York State and the storm won't hit for another 2 days. Grocery stores are jam-packed and batteries are selling like hot cakes! Scary
