I go every year, even though 20 miles on a bus to get there is a disorientating ride for me. Being there can be a bit too much for the senses, sometimes you can get overloaded by Celine Dion 'wiiishiiing' it was christmas in my hypersensitive hearing, which I rely as an early warning of others around me, and the sparkle and glitter and light in your half-eye's worth of vision. If it gets a bit too much of a 'bad trip' or feeling as if you are looking at alien mosses on a distant planet while seeing a wall full of tinsel I can escape to the rest of the garden centre for a while and come back to it later. I hope that they have made the effort to produce a cohesive Winter Wonderland model village as I felt that last' years' display was somewhat disjointed. Having it all together in one place would be better. But at least the bus ride is free with my disabled person's bus pass... though I'd rather have decent vision...
