    My new favorite British word...

    Before I joined this forum, I never heard the word "pressies".
    I love Outdoor Christmas Lights!!

    Though it's pronounced 'Prezzies' with a 'zz' sound rather than 'ss'
    So let the raucous sleigh bells jingle,
    Hail our dear old friend kris kringle,
    Driving his reindeer across the sky.
    Don't stand underneath when they fly by.

    The spelling isn't important, both spellings are valid, but pronouncing the word with the 'ss' makes you sound as if you have a lisp...

    Sorry Tinkerbell, I thought that you were one of our transaltantic friends and not a brit. Here in deepest Sussex we pronounce the 'zz'.
