So let the raucous sleigh bells jingle,
Hail our dear old friend kris kringle,
Driving his reindeer across the sky.
Don't stand underneath when they fly by.
And a big "Bah! Humbug!" to them, too!
God, what a miserable lot. No one is telling them to look at the decorations, if you don't like them go elsewhere and stop ruining it for everyone else.
Quite frankly, the customer has been complaining about early Christmas decorations and marketing since I was a kid (I'm 55) and I don't think it gets earlier and earlier every year. For the most part, basic decorations start to appear in October snd sales appear closer to Thanksgiving. The area I live in now, seems to get the stuff out later than other areas of the country. I think this is because I live in the greater NYC area and we are much more multi-cultural than many other places. The county I live in is 35-40 percent Jewish - many of whom are Orthodox or Hasidic. I actually think earlier would be better now with the ailing economy, it gives people time to spread out their spending.
