Has anyone here posted a recipe for Yorkshire pudding? I have no idea what it is. Is it actually pudding, or something else? If it's good, I'd love to suggest it to my wife.

I love Outdoor Christmas Lights!!
I can not believe you have never had a yorkshire pud! It can be used as a pudding, when eaten with jam or other sweet sauces. I however like it savoury to accompany a roast dinner (on the plate with the roast and veg etc) and covered in gravey or apple sauce![]()
The recipe is virtually the same as pancake mixtureI pre-heat a little butter in a baking tray with 12 individual cake indents. I pour the mixture in to the tray to make 12 yorkshire puddings and pop them into the oven. Alternatively you can buy pre-cooked frozen yorkshire puds to pop into the oven or microwave
This recipe seems about right:

Hold on, if you've never had yorkshire pudding, does this mean you've never had toad in the hole??![]()
I make my Yorkshire pudding in a pie plate and then we take servings from that. We don't have frozen ones at the grocery.
I went downstairs to get my recipe.
Yorkshire Pudding
Beat 2 eggs well. Add 1 cup milk and continue beating. Add 1 cup all-purpose flour with 1/2 teaspoon salt and beat until smooth. Put 3 tablespoons hot drippings* from roast into 9-inch pie pan. Heat. When hot, pour in batter. Bake in preheated hot oven (425 F) for 25 minutes.
*The drippings are what gives this pudding such great flavor! It's a side dish, not a dessert in our house.
My recipe comes from Woman's Day Encyclopedia of Cookery, Vol. 3, p. 444.
Note: The beef is roasted in the oven rather that cooked on top of the stove. The pudding is baked while the roast is cooling.
The greatest gift I ever received was wrapped in swaddling clothes.
Thanks for this everyone. I always heard of Yorkshire pudding and never had it! It is not that common a dish in the USA
I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas
Neither is Toad in a Hole. WTF????
