    Autumnwatch 2011

And so it begins, the annual ritual for those in the UK who love autumn and natural history. Sadly, Kate Humble won't be appearing this time...

So let the raucous sleigh bells jingle,
Hail our dear old friend kris kringle,
Driving his reindeer across the sky.
Don't stand underneath when they fly by.

Don't know the show either, but I adore the fall. Weather wise, it's the best. Comfortable temps...generally dry weather...colorful leaves. If only we didn't have to rake!

Yes Chantelle Joy you have just about summed up Autumnwatch. The show chronicles the migration and arrival of animals and birds, focusing on particular 'families'. Over the course of the programme there are live 'nestcam' shots showing the fellow creatures we share our world with in intimate detail. I find it a joy to watch and recommend those of you outside the UK to try streaming it, though I don't know how difficult or possible that would be.
