I know how you feel. It's so scary! My husband's business has really been hit hard. It seems like he's finally coming out of the worst of it. My illness during the last few years certainly haven't helped!

My father is going into hospital today for an endoscopic examination of his trachea. It will probably be the case that his shortness of breath is just 'one of those things to do with ageing' I hope that is all it is.

Thanks for your thoughts. All is well. It appears that he has some slight lung scarring as result of childhood TB and a long career in the woodworking industry, but it is nothing to worry about. He's also shrugged off the effects of a heart attack some time ago!
