Yeah...plus, we are discovering the value of our tax dollars right now, even though our boys are not in school yet! Our 2 year old seems to be "behind" in his speech development. His hearing checks out fine, and he understands what we tell him. He just doesn't talk much. Our school district has assigned us an evaluator and development specialist to help bring him up to speed. That way, he won't be behind in a couple years when he actually starts school. Right now he only says about 15-20 words. He also doesn't like to try to repeat when you ask him to say something. He just shakes his head "no". We discovered that this is part of what the public school system provides us as a result of our tax dollars. I just think that's very cool!! Also, just so you know, he does NOT display any signs of autism. Simply a late-talker.
