I'm using silk oak leaves, bittersweet and foam pumpkins and I think it will look better. This way I can save the decor for another year and not have to spend more money.

Foam pumpkins! I thought those were a bit early! And you can't turn them in to soup as well as carving them for halloween...

There's only me and my husband; he hates pumpkin soup. I always used canned pumpkin in pie. Halloween and carved pumpkins? I never do that, but I do carve watermelon baskets for the Fourth of July.

So a person can buy a pumpkin for soup without taking away from the wheelbarrow arrangement.

I've noticed that those "fake" pumpkins that you can actually carve seem to be gaining popularity. I think your wheelbarrow is the perfect "anchor" to the display.

I bought a set of carving tools and I found out that they are for faux pumpkins (hollow ones?). I wonder if I can use these tools on my watermelons; that's why I bought them.

I went to our local garden center yesterday and they already have a couple bins full of actual pumpkins! Wow...time flies!! Autumn officially begins on September 23rd.
