Can you help me on the title or author?

    Hi,

I have an old (for me) Christmas poem that I learned in junior school and I could not forget it even if I never heard it since then. If anyone knows the author or its title please let me know as I think there's more of it than the first 8 verses that I know. It impressed me a lot
    Here it goes:

    Christmas is coming
    The geese are getting fat
    Please put a penny
    In the Old man's hat
If you haven't got a penny
    A ha' penny will do
And if you haven't got a ha' penny
    Then God bless you

The music to Christmas is Coming was composed by Edith Nesbit Bland in the late nineteenth century. The author of the lyrics is unknown but the popularity of this traditional Christmas song is handed down from generation to generation in the form of a nursery rhyme. The words of Christmas is coming reflects the Christmas festival of celebration of being a time of plenty but that charity should be given to the less fortunate according to the giver's means!

Thanks so much! I plan on doing some research on it and giving it to my niece for her Christmas school celebration this year maybe I can also find some music for it...she's a great singer
