Ornamentmaven, if you grow your own vegetables you'll find that rotted leaf mulch makes great compost, you just need a place or container to compost it.

Mole - we don't have a vegetable garden anymore - just 2 tomatoe plants on the deck. I am partially disabled now and husband is always busy with his business. We used to always use our mulched leaves - but frankly, we have enough leaves for 15 or more gardens!

As here you have to these mountian winters can get bad so my neighbor has me set have the house stocked,plenty of candles,all those things so we are set here.good-morning-5.jpg

Supposed to be a hard winter here as well. I have to laugh at my last post on this thread! I posted last september that we would NOT have bad weather until December! Well, we had a freak winter storm last HALLOWEEN with at least 10 inches of super heavy snow. We lost power for 4 days! Never say never!!!

So, I guess within the next 2 weeks, we should check the shovels and procure lots of ice melt. We will start raking leavings soon as well and that is always a major project!
