Turkey is fairly inexpensive here in the USA. In fact, many grocery stores run specials at Thanksgiving time where if you spend at least $300 during the month before Thanksgiving, you will earn a free 20+ pound turkey! If you don't cook it for Thanksgiving, many will freeze and save it for Christmas!

We will buy a turkey, and it will get eaten sometime over the Christmas period, cold with pickles and potatoes, made into a curry or soup.Christmas lunch will be turkey,at the in laws.We still buy a turkey even though we don't eat it on Christmas Day?

I always enjoy turkey! Hot, cold, casseroles, sandwiches, etc. - it is great!

'I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future!' Scrooge repeated, as he scrambled out of bed. 'The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me. Oh, Jacob Marley! Heaven, and the Christmas Time be praised for this! I say it on my knees, old Jacob, on my knees!' (Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol)

I didn't realise people ate anything but Turkey at Chtistmas! My mum used to go to the farm in October and pick out the turkey we would be having at Christmas. We'd go and pick it up on Christmas eve when it had been slaughtered and plucked ready for us to roast!

I'm a vegetarian now, though so I won't be having a turkey myself.
