Autumn!

Yeah...seems weird to say here in Minnesota (Land of Perpetual Winter), but there is still plenty of warm weather left. We don't start to feel the chill of Fall until mid-Sept. However, I still get excited around Labor Day. That is kind of the "unofficial" start to Fall as kids go back to school.

Well, we are experiencing a miserable heat wave...it is almost too hot to be by the pool!!!! That is pretty bad...I keep looking and hoping for any sign of fall! Yes, come September 1st, my excitement factor increases exponentially!!!!

Some of the trees are just starting to change here,and there already seems to be a good show of berries and nuts about[some say thats a sign of a hard winter].I have managed to pick a nice bowl of blackberries,[uk] and will freeze them until I have enough to make a nice apple and blackberry chutney,and a few apple and blackberry tarts.I also like blackberries with ice cream.Its raining right now,but still warm,bring on the cold frosty mornings!

Can't wait until I feel the first cool weather of Autumn, it is 97 degrees here today. SO ready for cooler weather & my favorite time of year!!!!

Yeah its a very hot day here! It got worse after the rain!
