What is the first thing you put up?

What is the first thing of your Christmas decoration that you put up or is it always different?

A long, green, garland wrapped in lights somehow appears laid across the mantlepiece while the family are all at work[I have to check the lights are working don't I?]. This normally appears about two weeks before anything else.The first proper thing to go up is the tree.

First we put decorations in house,week later we put the tree and then the lights...etc.

The first thing that goes up in our house is the christmas tree

on the landing, gets put up about middle of November. Earlier if I can persuade

hubbie to do it..

We put the tinsel on the banisters first. The tree is the thing that comes last most of the time .

Hi, my husband and 2 sons always do the lights on the outside of the house first, then we get our tree! My daughter and I decorated some of the house last year while they were doing that.

First thing that goes up has always been the Christmas tree. But I think this year will be my cool new Christmas shower curtain.

I have a Christmas bath set - rugs, shower curtain, and lid cover. It's in shades of blue and lavender with a very large snowman and snowflakes printed on it. My bathroom is painted lavender so it is a perfect match! This goes up when I do the general decorations through out the house.
