    It's not very christmassy at the moment...

    Sunny, warm and windless with highs of 28c today and up to 30c over the weekend forcast, the grass is looking parched, my vegetable garden needs watering every evening, and the news this morning warns of a hosepipe ban in the North-West of England if there is no substantial rainfall within the next week. Add to that the doom and gloom of the economic news in the UK and Christmas seems so far away...
    So let the raucous sleigh bells jingle,
    Hail our dear old friend kris kringle,
    Driving his reindeer across the sky.
    Don't stand underneath when they fly by.

    I know how you feel - the heat index here for today is going to be 110F! Even the evenings are hot! I have already seen one store starting to put out Christmas stuff and while I love to see it, it is hard to get too excited with beads of sweat running down your face! Where is Jack Frost when you need him?
