Our plans for Christmas 2010

Totally forgot i joined this site last year, found it while browsing my favourites, just reading through the thread has got me really looking forward to xmas this year!! I will start planning things in september once the kids are back at school xx

Of course, I have started planning for this Christmas !!

I am looking forward to (hopefully) attending the premiere of the Hallmark Ornaments in July with my beloved sister and also another ornament premiere in October with her. I help decorate her tree as well the first weekend of December.

I would like to put more lights on the house but believe it or not, my husband and I do not know how to hang lights on the house itself !!! Are there light hangers or something like that ?? Any tips on how to do this would be wonderful. We do not have a big house, it is a ranch.

I can't WAIT for Christmas !!!!!

Unfortunately, thats quite an expensive trip, so, I do not think I can afford it (at least, for now..)..

If it is, you could also get some ideas from tnere, I guess, as, its the only store (Christmas one) that stays open all year long.

I picked up the Hallmark ornament Dreambook today. Each year I buy 4 series ornaments for the family: Puppy Love for one daughter, the Fairy ornament for the other, Madame Alexander and Santa's Sweet Ride for myself!

Last year we used all sorts of different coloured balls we collected over the years in the tree . It was my favourite tree yet. Maybe we'll do a repeat this year. Further we always pick a day to go out in to town and to the garden center to pick up new decorations.

Two other things I have planned:
- Christmas eve with friends at our house. I'm thinking of doing a tapas like meal, but with chrismassy/winter foods
- 2nd Christmas day the boyfriend, the dog and me will close our house off from the rest of the world and just be together.
