Wow tink - kids learn to drive at 18! I wish it was that way here! They start learning at 16 here. Just have to pass a very simple written test and pay a small fee!

They can start at 17, but then spend hundreds of pounds on driving lesson,

then do a theory test and pass that, then pass the driving test.......

Great gift!! This is happening here, too..
When children graduate from school (18), some parents give them as a gift a driving licence (money for lessons, driving school etc..)

Each state in the USA has different rules regarding driver licensing. They actually just toughened up the rules in New York State. Must have 50 hours of practice before taking the driving test. can get a limited (provisional) licence at 16 and a half. If they take the 5 hour course they can get their permenent license earlier than 17. I get confused myself!

Yesterday evening we had dinner at a Mexican restaurant with my boyfriends mom. It was our mothers day present. We had a lot of fun.

Tonight I'm hosting a small cocktailparty for 4 friends of mine in celebration of my birthday(turned 24 on 5 May.)

Tomorrow I'm going to the park with a friend to relax and catch up, because we haven't seen eachother in a while.

Somewhere in between I have to do some studying. I'm having exams in the first week of June.
