    I was very sad to hear that Thomas Dörflein, the Berlin zookeeper who raised the little bear, died a few months ago..

    That was bad news for Knut too, since the two of them had a really warm and special bond, actually, they were like father and son..

    Okay. I know I am a bit odd.......I love ALL polar bears regardless of their age. No doubt they would rip me apart if I were in the wild with them but I would give my life if it would help save them gladly. Poor Knut. I am sure he is lost without the man who took care of him. I wish I could cuddle and love every one of them and woe to the person who would hurt them. I could eliminate them w/o so much as a thought. Now I am on a soap box. Forgive please. I see the problem with the world today as being uncaring and unfeeling humans. But that is just my opinon.

    Its been almost 3 months when Knut died unexpectedly at the age of four...
