Thanksgiving 2009

This year I plan to hit up the stores. I just not sure i have the patents to fight over items though.

Usually the stuff I look for is popular but not Soccer Mom Death Squad popular or pitch a tent 1 week in advance popular. lol! Usually I can be done with shopping by 9:00 a.m. Then I can go to breakfast with hubby.

I've always kiiind of wanted to go to the sales, but it seems intimidating! Especially since there's so much decorating to do! I decorate the WHOLE house that day AND wrap all the presents I've gathered all year long! It's a busy day just by staying at home! Can't imagine throwing shopping into the mix, too!
(Apparently I can't end a sentence with anything but an exclamation mark tonight!)

But there's always the weekend to decorate and wrap presents! And you can wrap presents before Thanksgiving! Soooo...ZERO excuses! lol!

It's the American version of Running Of The Bulls in Pamplona.

However the trampling does happen and has caused deaths before.

I'm just glad I live in a somewhat small town! In the big cities, just the shopping CROWDS are bigger than our whole population!

I live in a small town now. However when I lived in Nashville it was really bad i would see people come to work with bruises and screeches.

That kind of stuff is scary!
And that's why I don't do Black Friday; my town is too small to have any good sales but the big cities are scary!
And then that's why I try to get my shopping done before Thanksgiving

I think Thanksgiving is my idea of a pure holiday. I too love the 3 f's--food family/friends and football. West Virginia University Mountaineers--Go 'Eers! and the Pittsburgh Steelers!
