Thought I'd bump this thread... Does anyone have carolers come to their house anymore?
The holly's up, the house is all bright, The tree is ready, the candles alight; Rejoice and be glad, all children tonight.

No - no one would walk up to our house in the winter. Big hill, dead end street! There is plenty of caroling in town though/ The village holds a caroling night where everyone can walk through town and carol at the local churches and office buildings. The girl scouts also carol at local nursing homes. I always enjoyed that when I was a leader.

When I was little, our Brownie Troop went caroling around a senior housing development- I loved that. But that was the only time I did. While I would love to go caroling, I also wish we had a steady stream of carolers going by our house all season long!

My wife took the boys out this past year (along with the mom and her kids from across the street). They went caroling for about an hour or so. They had a lot of fun, but got too cold. They said it was surprising how few people actually answered the door. Probably because they weren't equipped to "offer" anything and I think a lot of people might feel obligated to do that.
    I love Outdoor Christmas Lights!!
