Back from summer vacations - Astypalaia

Yesterday I came back from my summer vacations. I would like to say a few words about that beautiful tiny island I visited, called Astypalaia..

Wonderful, clean and not crowded beaches (most of them not organized), cheap rooms for rent, excellent food (traditional plates), warm and hospitable people, nice weather…
What else can anyone ask..

I loved Chora, the capital of the island, with its beautiful white washed houses. It was so amazing..
We were told to visit the famous 13th century Venetian castle on the top of the hill, where anybody could see the beautiful sunrise and the fantastic panoramic view to the sea, sitting on a bar near the castle, having drinks..
We spend a lot of nights there, taking photos and then going to bars around the castle…

Nightlife there, was very quiet, but you would definitely love it, if you’d want to relax and have some drinks, not bumping into people…

Astypalaia, is a really small island, but we had to rent a car and sometimes a boat, in order to visit the most beautiful spots in the island..
I visited almost every beach, swimming all day!!
People could also rent bikes or go by bus to visit all sides of the island..

That small and really sweet island, is a really relaxing and romantic place for someone to visit for summer vacations.
An island with little tourism and a genuine Greek atmosphere.

If you ever decide to visit Greece and Astypalaia moreover, I believe that you will just be amazed.. The island is so tiny and so beautiful… People say it looks like a butterfly..
Im really glad I chose to spend my summer vacations, there..

Definitely, I had the time of my life... , so beautiful and calm, really, it was like a dream..

Now, back to reality, back to work...

P.S. To be honest, my brother took the photos, I could never take such good pictures!!!!!! , Im glad you liked them!

glad you enjoyed yourself on your holiday! I am not sure I will ever be able to afford to go on a vacation again. I would love to be able to go back to the Outerbanks of NC again some day!
