Cranberry Upside Down Cake
This Cranberry upside down cake recipe is a good combination of cream along with spicy dessert for Christmas.
- 8 tablespoons of unsalted butter which is in a room temperature
- 1 200 ml cup of sugar
- 1/2 medium sized teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 medium sized teaspoon allspice
- 1 3/4 200 ml cup cranberries
- 1 full egg
- 1 medium sized teaspoon of vanilla (extract)
- 1 1/4 200 ml cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 medium sized teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 medium sized teaspoon salt
- 1/2 200 ml cup full of milk
First – Step:
Preheat the oven to 350 F degrees and also rack ready. Apply half the quantity of butter on the inside portion of the cake pan. Now in a small bowl, take half cup sugar, then cinnamon and also allspice together beat it nicely. Sprinkle the mixture slowly and evenly at the inside bottom of the pan; now arrange in a single layer the cranberries on the top.
Second – Step:
With the help of an electric mixer, (mix the remaining half that is six tablespoons full of butter and the other half of sugar and beat it until it becomes light fluffy cream. Then add that 1 egg, with that vanilla; and again beat until it becomes nicely combined). Take one more bowl, (in that take flour, then baking powder, with some salt beat it nicely with the mixer on minimum speed), it’s time to add the flour (mixture) along with butter (mixture) in three consecutive times, along with milk alternately till it gets nicely mixed up.
Third - Step:
Now put some cranberries in the pan. Keep the pan over the baking sheet; bake the cake, the sign for fully baked can be checked by inserting one toothpick on cake and see whether it had come out clean. The baking time is half an hour. Allow it to cool over the rack for about 20 minutes. Before removing run one knife around between the edge of cake and the pan, now invert it over the rimmed platter.
