Silverbells-you need to think of this as an opportunity to try something new and different!
I remember the first year I didn't celebrate Christmas with my family... we used to get together every Xmas eve, my Grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins - EVERYONE. I was in my early 20's when I didn't visit back home (was living about 500km away) and it was kind of strange..but then I came up with MY OWN Traditions and started to collect my OWN Decorations and such.
I hope you find comfort in your personal traditions, Silverbells... and of course remember all the great Christmases in the Past that you had with your family!
Thank you both. I guess what hurts me a little is that neither will be at Christmas Dinner. But I am happy for my mom as she hasn't seen my sister and her family for too long. And she hasn't spend Christmas in the US for even longer.
My hopes are just that my family are all together and well. I'd love snow on Christmas Eve / morning, but not on the 23rd please as that's my twins' birthday and I want to be able to take them out :my lord:
My hopes are that all my children do well with their college/university plans...:smitten:
Also hubby :smitten: gets some relief from the pain he's in all the time.
