It's true that for 2011 there's only one(that I know of) theatrical release Christmas movie. However, one of the most famous Christmas stories ever, The Litlest Angel, has been remade for 2011 and it's in 3D. It will most likely be a direct to DVD release. CMG is the production company, and it's directed by Dave Kim. An interesting note about The Littlest Angel by Charles Tazewell is that it's the only Christmas childrens story to be released as a song(by Bing); a radio drama; a TV movie; film; record album; book(of course); and a 3 packet View-Master slide show! Anyways, for 2012 there's Rise of the Guardians(1st book in the series Guardians of Childhood was just released); a new version of Christmas in Connecticut; The Nutcracker and the Mouse King(Temple Hill Ent./New Line Cinema); The Nutcracker(Universal).
Just showed my 6 year old sister the trailers... She LOVES it!
Is it available in 2d, too? It really bugs me how almost everything is 3D in the cinemas now. I have 2D vision (it's a depth perception problem with my eyesight) and to me 3D just looks like blurry :sad elf: I hope they don't get rid of good old 2D in cinemas altogether as I won't be able to go anymore and I love the cinema :elf2:
