I've noticed the smiley text codes aren't surrounded with colon symbols which seems to cause accidental use of smileys in normal text.
I've disabled smileys in this post but example, "no" instead of "" or "santa" instead of ":santa:"

This has been brought to our admin's attention and I believe they are in the process of correcting it. http://www.disneyworldtrivia.com/forums/images/smilies/yes.gif

we had ought to increase the usable width of the forums vs. the width of the page...currently, the user controls menubar at the top goes off too far to the right as does the message editor...and I'm on 1280x800 resolution.
Just a thought...plus, it'd make it so that one doesn't have to scroll as much to read a thread.

A couple of things....
Is there a way to make a default so that if you do not choose a post icon when you post that the little piece of paper icon doesn't automatically appear?
And how about a Christmas Crafting forum?
Also...is there a chance that you will be adding a chat room feature?

Another small issue I just ran across.
I was trying to post on the Christmas word link game the word "gifts" and it gave me a reply that I must have at least 6 characters to post. Is there anyway this can be changed. Especially in game threads, there could be times when you want to type word with as few as two letters.

Hey Melis,
I'll see what we can do about the default post icon and creating a chat room in the future.
As for the Christmas Crafting forum, you are more than welcome to go ahead and create a thread in the Fun Things or Everything Else forums for the time being. If we can get a Christmas Crafts forum started I'll be sure to move your thread(s) to it.
Hope that helps! :waving:

I tried editing my signature and am getting this error:
"Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file."
Just thought you'd like to know.

Hmmm, thanks for bringing this up McDLT. What are you trying to edit in your signature when this error message occurs?

Everything seems to work fine. You sure your picture was not too big?
