This is a really good idea! If you go this route, look for a non-lit tree. My fear is the electrical wiring on a pre-lit tree might wrap 'round the tree, which might get messed up with 'limb-trimming'. Note: you will need to bracket the tree against the wall because a tree not designed to bear half-weight will fall over.

I did that for a few years and loved pearly pastel ornaments with it, since when lit the colored lights reflect a soft pastel glow against the branches. Pearly white ornaments with some silver ornaments is lovely too! I did that one year and it looked great in the day when the tree lights were off.

DO you think a goodie box with shampoo, after shave, razors and shave cream etc. is to impersonal. he doesn't really need anything. but we all take baths and shave. right! I am good at the stocking stuffers. only this year I am trying not to use alot of candy in stockings. FOr my greats I am giving them a bunch of little gifts from dollar tree they I really like. paint sets, coloring books, crayons, Bible games, toothbrushes, suncatchers, and temporary tattos. I think they will enjoy that kind of stuff. They get just about everything they want. I am also making goody sacks with an orange, apple, banana, snack size cookies, crackers, and chips. nothing real sweet. maybe some juice boxes who knows. what do you all think!

I enjoyed the videos. I am just thinking of what I can get for John for CHristmas I am going to the dollar tree to buy for him today. I hope I find enough stuff for him. I know he likes temporary tattoos, painting, etc.
