Hi everyone! Just thought I'd share some fun news. It's August 25: Four months till Christmas!
So, today I am starting to rehearse some Christmas music for solo piano to be recorded hopefully by Thanksgiving weekend. I'm a self-taught keyboardist and I've been playing for about 10 years or so. I'll be recording the music in my "poor man's" studio in my home and I will definitely share them online when they are completed!
:singing:Also, I don't know if I will do this for the album, but I thought that maybe someone in this forum who is a fine lyricist would like to collaborate with me in turning your ideas into an actual song. I've always wanted to write my own Christmas music, but I just don't excel at writing nice lyrics. So... perhaps someone out there would like to work together...??? Just a thought!:carols:

Wow... False = good heavy metal! :) (I notice DT is one of your band's influences... one of my favorite prog rock bands!)
I've been to Louisville this past summer for a weekend. I love that place! My older brother is also in a metal band (not quite as heavy) and I actually got to throw in some keyboard parts for their latest album which releases on Halloween.
Anyway, I'm glad to see some interest in this Christmas song project. Just post any ideas you have or IM me!

Thank you for the compliment.
Yeah, Dream Theater is one of my favorite bands ever. Guys pure musicians.
Mike Portnoy on the drums is a constant masterpiece that keeps evolving.
You should record some of your piano songs on MP3.

I have started a new thread for a new original song project.
Here's the thread: http://www.allthingschristmas.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5842
So far the music composition is instrumental.
Give it listen, and if you are interested, I can give you my original piano composition, along with the music sheets for piano parts 1 - 3.
And the midi track if desired.
Just private message (PM) me if interested
I think you would probably like this fun melody.
Enjoy! :xmaswink:
