This thread is meant to be a place for you to send a special thought out to someone. It could be another member or just someone in your daily life who you'd like to lift up. Or perhaps you have something you need our thoughts and prayers for. Whatever the case may be, spread your thoughts and prayers here. :my lord:

I have a second interview at a private Christian school that I interviewed at a couple of weeks ago. They are in need of a part-time Art teacher for grades K-2. While a full-time position is ideal, this is fine by me too! And what's ever better is that they are willing to work it out so I can be a full-time staff member by allowing me to be a Teacher Assistant in 4th grade for the other half of my day! :yahoo:

Thoughts and prayers will be GREATLY appreciated! :my lord: :D

Here's a break down of my day so you'll know what to pray for and when: 7:30-8:00 Interview in the boardroom with committee
8:00-9:45 Spend time in 4th grade classroom I would be assisting in this fall
9:45-10:15 Prep time in the Art room
10:20-10:50 Teach a 2nd grade Art class for them to observe

Hi everyone. I'm new, obviously, but i was hoping you could offer your thoughts on my most recent dilemma. Christmas is my life, and i love every aspect of it... except recently i have been having doubt about whether the whole jesus thing really happened, and wondering if god is real... normally i don't have any thoughts that are for or against god, but with all the recent drama over innocent movies that some religious people refuse to watch since it's 'against' god, i find it hard to put faith into someone who is so widely unknown to people. :sad elf: i'm just really confused, and i'd like to think i'm not so shallow as to enjoy christmas only for the gifts and atmosphere...:confused: so if you could offer your thoughts, or if you have any ideas, it would be much appreciated.

I don't believe that Christms would be CHristmas without CHrist. God is an infinite power. He resides without our hearts ad souls. It just is. Faith is believing in someone or something that can not be seen. so don't doubt your faith. there are always people out there who will cause you to doubt your faith but it is up to you to feel ad observe Christ in your own way. As for Christmas movies and music they are great entertainment. so enjoy them and don't let others take the enjoyment away from you!

Christmas_Freak, as Bobbi said you have to make the decision to trust and believe in the Lord despite what others may say at times. I'm not sure if you are speaking of Christmas movies or something like Angels and Demons which just came out, but no matter what it's uip to you to decide if seeing a certain movie is a "sin".


"This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." ~Romans 3:22-24


Many people can go overboard with what they believe is "against" God. The only thing we can truly base it on is His perfect Word. Don't let anyone make you disbelieve what it is in your heart that you know is true and perfect. God is the one who has the last "say" and because we were all born sinners we must repent through the grace and love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Not sure that I can add much, but I know it's easy sometimes to tell yourself that it's just wishful thinking and that you're making it all up in your head. I have a hard time debating people about it- I don't know how to convince them. All I know is that I know that it's not just a fairytale, due to personal experience. I think with the movies and other things that people are against, it's because sometimes they get your mind to go places that it shouldn't go, and ideally, your mind should always be on God or about his business. At least that's my understanding of it. Good luck! :)

You are very welcome. Please pray for my great nephew John Matthew he had to get 4 shots yesterday and he is fevered up and sore tonight. I feel bad when kids have to get shots. But he was behind on shots and he still needs two more next month!

I am happy to announce my blood INR is 2.7 which is excellent tonight. In order to keep it like this they want me to take my coumadin for 5 days straight then skip for two days. hopefully this will work out for me. My chest is not so bothersome tonight. God is merciful and grand!

Please pray for my neighbor K.C. he lost his 19 year old nephew. I believe it was complications due to diabetes.

well it is out of the target range again. they say it is a hit and miss process it is at 3.8 so I had to change my dosing. I have it rechecked next friday. I will let you all know where it stands.

thanks for thinking of me and praying for me. I am just getting over a female crisis that caused me to have to go back in the hospital for a blood transfusion. I recieved 3 units of blood within a 24 hour period of time. I was not able to breath upon entering the hospital but feel so much better now. Today I have minor aches and pains that go away with tylenol . I will be seeing two different doctors next week. Hope that God is finding out whether I am done being tested. They are running tests to rule out uterine cancer.

I am just home from the doctors office. My INR is a perfect 2.0. But I have to start taking iron tablets to build up my blood supply. He said if I were to have another period or start bleeding elsewhere it would make me critically ill. He was very nice My regular doctor was out of the office this week. A guy that we grew up with just passed away (he was 33)- he was on medication for bi-polar. The initial results indicate a lethal combination of medications. His mother didn't think he was bi-polar to begin with and the doctors weren't monitoring him (!). I'd like prayers for his family- they're not doing so well. :sad elf:

I shall pray for him and his family. He is in a better place now but that don't console his family much. They should think about suing the doctor who gave him the lethal combinations of drugs. I worry myself about my doctor not taking more of an interest in my health these days. I know if anything happens my husband and parents already said they would sue my doctor!

I agree. We're waiting for the toxicology report to come back. But, his mother is such a sweet person, that I doubt she would ever sue anyone, unfortunately. I'm hearing of way too many irresponsible doctors these days. Someone needs to set an example.

I shall say an extra prayer for your doctors to do what's best for you!

well now here I am waiting to here from the specialist again I have called his office twice and still have not gotten a call back from him. If I don't hear anything from him by friday I am going to call Dr Dufour and ask him to do my histectomy and refer me to a local oncologist. I don't have time to let the cancer spread. I just lost a friend to stage 4 cancer. She died on saturday. I am really scared of that happening to me.

I went in to WintonSalem yesterday to see plastic surgon resident. He s not the one doing my surgery thogh his boss is so when my gyn oncologist schedules my surgery I need to goback to Winson Salem to see the plastic surgeon. I am havinga double mjor surgery when I go in . I will have plastic surgery then my hysterectomy. both are major surgeries so I will be down for a while afterwards. I will keep you all informed on the date of my surgeries. THanks for you thoughts and prayers !:waving::waving::waving:

I know how scared you must be but,try to keep yourself in a positive mode as it's important as i know it's hard,i lost my mom to cancer two years ago and we just found out her sister,my aunt has cancer so i know how important it is to stay positive and strong as we all need to be now as her attitude has been great and she is a strong person as she helped hold me together when i lost my mom,she just has that strength and that's what you need to have now is strength please i know it's not going to be easy just know i'm sending some of that strength your way and my prayers.:my lord:

went to the doctors on friday about my severe back pain and the doctor thinks the cancer has spread to my bones so I go in for x rays on wednesday before going in to see my surgeon . I am praying for something minor not more cancer! I am having a hard enough time with the cancer I am already having.

went to the doctors on friday about my severe back pain and the doctor thinks the cancer has spread to my bones so I go in for x rays on wednesday before going in to see my surgeon . I am praying for something minor not more cancer! I am having a hard enough time with the cancer I am already having.

I'm intensely sorry to hear that! My dad had bone cancer and my sister died of cancer at age forty-five. I'm praying for you that it isn't more cancer.

Thanks olga. The boys baseball team had their first game of the season last night. The team held a ceremony first to honor Chris and Vinny and to retire their numbers. Even though they were both excellent players, their team is so good that they beat the other team 15 to 0 (yes, even without them)! Vinny was the second best player on the team, but the best player is about to be drafted by the pros. The team is dedicating the season to Chris and Vinny. After the game, a candlelight vigil was held.

Yes, I know.. I ve been through this and I also had to wait for 20 days before I visit dentist again and have both teeth taken out..
